AFRICAN Sweatshirt — The Fern Doesn't Fold.

Aya. The fern. An Adinkra symbol of endurance, independence, and defiance. It grows where nothing else will — through rock, through drought, through erasure. It means: I am not afraid of you. Now precision-cut into every panel of this all-over print sweatshirt.

The Design

The word AFRICAN, broken open — the letter "I" replaced by the Aya symbol. Identity and defiance in a single graphic. The Aya symbol carries the entire back: rooted, branching, unbroken. Dark crimson on natural cream.

This isn't a print placed on top of a sweatshirt. Each piece is precision-cut and hand-sewn so the design flows continuously across every panel, front to back and seam to seam. The graphic doesn't stop where the fabric joins.

The Construction

Cotton-feel face outside. Brushed fleece inside — the kind of softness that earns its place as a daily favourite. Overlock seams throughout. Heavy at 9.08 oz/yd² (308 g/m²) — substantial enough to become the piece you reach for every time. Unisex fit, built to move.

Consciously Made

Crafted from 96% recycled polyester, 4% elastane — durability with a lighter footprint. Made on demand: produced only when you order, never sitting unsold in a warehouse. No overproduction. No excess. Just the piece you chose, made to last. Designed in Accra.
